As usual we a great time with the staff and visitors to this years Castle Drogo WWII weekend. There were around 2,700 visitors over the two days and once again the weather held out and was beautiful. The Hurricane on the Saturday provided a breathtaking performance and Flash Thunder (along with his "Flashette")got some great shots which should be going up on the site next week.
I spent the Sunday dressed as Winston Churchill, reciting his speeches and generally congratulating the public for their role in the "War Effort". Spent some time doing photos with John, Castle Drogo's photographer and hopefully we'll have some of these to go on the site soon too!
The WWII weekend is definitely going ahead next year but a week later in the calendar, the weekend of the 29th and 30th September 2012, so put it in your diary!
