Hello friends! just a quick note to inform you that i've got a book signing in Bill Sleeman's Gentleman's Outfitters on Exeter Road Exmouth on Saturday 10th September 2011 (This Saturday)from 11.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m.
We decided to have the first one here with the Sleeman family as he was a major contributor to the book and was also one of the founder members of the Exmouth L.D.V. enrolling on May 15th 1940 at Victoria Road Police Station. We will have members of the Blitz and Peaces living history members in attendance, with Lesley dressed as Marlene Dietrich i'm informed! Also a small display of Home Guard equipment will be on show.
We are also hoping that some of the surviving members of Devon's Home Guard will be turning up to share some of their memories with us
