WAR ON THE LINE 2011

War on the line was fantastic again this year. We took our Spiv, Chester Drawers with us and a great time was had by all, even on Sunday which proved a little more damp than usual. It was a good time to catch up with old friends, such as Richard Holdsworth and the 101st Airborne Living History group who are coming down to Smeatharpe later in the year. On Parade were there in all their glory, representing the Home Front and Colin and Annette Murray were there with Pete from Dorsets, Annette proudly displaying her new Home Front Kitchen Caravan. If you could bottle this stuff it would catch on faster than fizzy drinks. Flash Thunder, unfortunately couldn't make it due to back problems, but he's well on the mend now and looking forward to coming to photograph the Buckfastleigh event the weekend of 9th and 10th July 2010.
